Join us this Halloween night for a genuine paranormal investigation within the ancient, sandstone walls of Warwick Market Hall Museum, a building steeped in centuries of history and perhaps, lingering spirits. Built in the 17th century, this iconic landmark holds a particularly dark chapter within its past – a small, infamous room that served as a “lock-up” from the early 18th century until 1848.
We will delve into the energy that may still cling to this confined space. For over a century, this tiny chamber was the last stop for individuals awaiting judgment, their fear and desperation potentially etched into the very fabric of the building. By the 1830s, the lock-up had become notorious, declared a “disgrace.” Imagine the claustrophobia within its meager 8ft by 3ft space once reported to have held a thirteen inmates at once.
We offer you unparalleled access to the most intriguing and potentially active areas of Warwick Market Hall. You will be able to investigate the ground floor gallery, the two first floor galleries and the stairwell.
