Discover Bucks Museum (formerly Buckinghamshire County Museum), located in the heart of historic Aylesbury, tells the rich and varied story of Buckinghamshire, from prehistoric times to the modern day. With a collection of over 130,000 items gathered over 150 years, the museum offers a window into the county’s heritage, covering archaeology, social history, natural history, geology, art, costumes, and photography.
The museum itself spans three ancient buildings—a chapel in St. Mary’s Square, a former Grammar School, a Medieval Guildhall, a courthouse, and a grand private house with a coach house—each steeped in its own unique energy and home to several spirits.
