Dare You Investigate One of Stratford’s Most Haunted Buildings?

Step into the chilling atmosphere of Tudor World, a building steeped in centuries of history and notorious for its intense paranormal activity. Formerly known and feared as The Falstaff Experience, this location on Sheep Street is a labyrinth of dark corners, creaking floors, and shadowed rooms, each potentially holding secrets from its long and often grim past. Dating back in parts to the 12th Century, it has witnessed plague, death, revelry, and despair – and many believe some of its former inhabitants have never truly left.

The Location:

Tudor World stands as one of Stratford-upon-Avon’s oldest and most investigated buildings. Its timber frames have absorbed the energy of countless lives and events. From its time as a tavern frequented by locals and perhaps even Shakespeare himself (though not confirmed either way!), to its role as a home and now a museum, the building resonates with history. Reports of ghostly encounters are frequent and varied including:

  • Disembodied voices and chilling whispers echoing in empty rooms.
  • The distinct sound of phantom footsteps on the ancient staircases.
  • Objects moving inexplicably.
  • Sightings of apparitions, including alleged spectral figures of monks, children, plague victims, and even a reputed pickpocket named Ned.
  • Sudden cold spots and the unsettling feeling of being watched or touched.

Areas known for particularly intense activity include the eerie upper floors, the atmospheric main hall, and the dimly lit sections recreating Tudor life – environments ripe for investigation. So come and join our experienced team for an unforgettable night of paranormal investigation. We pride ourselves on small group sizes to ensure a more personal and focused experience.
