By booking or attending any Energy & Empathy event, you agree to these terms and conditions. They form part of your contract with us and apply from the moment you book until the end of the event.

1. Booking, Payment and Communication

1.1 You must provide a correct email address when booking. Event details will be sent one week before the event. Please check your spam or junk folder, and contact us if you haven’t received anything.
1.2 If you pay a deposit when booking, it is non-refundable except as set out in section 4.
1.3 An invoice or payment link for the balance will be sent three weeks before the event. The balance must be paid no later than 10 days before the event. We may send reminders, but we are not obliged to.
1.4 If the balance is not paid by the due date, your booking may be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
1.5 Please reply to our confirmation email to acknowledge receipt.
1.6 If you are booking for others, you are responsible for making sure they know and accept these terms and the information in our confirmation emails.

2. Entry Requirements

2.1 All events are ticketless. Please show your order confirmation email on arrival, along with photo ID if requested.
2.2 All attendees must be 18 or over.
2.3 Events start punctually at the stated time. Please allow plenty of time for travel and parking. Late arrivals may be refused entry, and no refund will be given.
2.4 A member of our team will greet you on arrival. Please follow the instructions of our team and the venue staff at all times.

3. Transfers and Name Changes

3.1 Bookings are for the named attendee(s) only and are non-transferable.
3.2 A name change may be permitted if you contact us at least 14 days before the event, at our discretion.

4. Cancellations, Refunds and Changes

4.1 Bookings are non-refundable, including if you cannot attend for personal reasons.
4.2 These are services for a specific date, so the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply.
4.3 If we cancel an event, we will offer you a transfer to a new date or a full refund of everything you’ve paid, including your deposit.
4.4 We may need to reschedule an event or change the venue, running order or host because of low numbers, illness, severe weather, venue issues or other circumstances outside our control. If we reschedule, your booking will transfer to the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund.
4.5 Except as set out in this section and to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur in connection with an event.

5. Health, Safety and Liability

5.1 Some events take place in historic or dimly lit venues with stairs, uneven floors and other hazards. Please take care and wear suitable footwear and clothing.
5.2 Some events may not be suitable for people who are pregnant, have a heart condition, epilepsy, anxiety or mobility difficulties, or who are easily frightened. If you have any concerns, please speak to your GP before booking. By attending, you confirm you are fit to take part and do so at your own risk. If you have accessibility needs, please contact us before booking and we will do our best to help.
5.3 We are responsible for your safety while you are at our events, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss, damage or injury arising from your attendance, or for loss of or damage to personal belongings, which remain your responsibility.

6. Conduct

6.1 No drugs or excessive alcohol may be consumed before or during any event.
6.2 We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone we reasonably believe to be under the influence, without needing to prove it.
6.3 Anyone behaving inappropriately, or in a way that affects the safety or enjoyment of others, will be removed immediately.
6.4 Refusal of entry or removal under this section is without refund, and will go ahead regardless of transport difficulties or weather.
6.5 Venue rules apply at all times, including any rules on food, drink and smoking.

7. Recording and Media

7.1 You may use cameras and recording equipment at our events for personal use only, provided this does not disturb other guests or the running of the event. Please tell us beforehand if you intend to record video or audio.
7.2 Footage you capture must not be published, sold or used for any commercial or promotional purpose, including for any other project, without our written permission.
7.3 Live streaming, real-time broadcasting or transmission is prohibited. This includes Facebook Live, Instagram Live, TikTok Live, YouTube Live, video calls and any other real-time sharing.
7.4 We may photograph or film our events for promotional use. If you’d prefer not to appear, please tell a member of our team on arrival.

8. Paranormal Events

8.1 Paranormal events are not suitable for pregnant guests.
8.2 Our paranormal events are offered for entertainment. While some people believe in paranormal or psychic phenomena, there is no scientific evidence for them. We make no claims that any phenomena will occur and cannot guarantee any particular experience.

9. Your Data

We use the information you give us to manage your booking and communicate with you about the event. See our Privacy Policy at https://energyandempathy.uk/privacy-policy/ for how we look after your data.

10. General

10.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force on the date you book will apply to your booking.
10.2 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in force.
10.3 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
10.4 By attending any event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
