The Bear is one of Woodstock’s oldest and most characterful coaching inns, with parts of the building dating all the way back to the 13th century. Step through its doors and you’re stepping into centuries of history — timber-framed walls, exposed oak beams, winding staircases and cosy, atmospheric rooms that have welcomed travellers for generations. It’s the kind of place where the past feels close, making it a wonderful setting to spend an evening exploring together.
